Z starts a game of “What Makes You Happy?” This is completely his idea. We take turns. Some responses are funny, some are childlike, some are silly and two slam into my heart like a bulldozer:
Z says “You never ignore me.”
Z says “You always listen to me.”
... Z is 6 years old.
